I use my loft a lot and i keep leaving the light on.   Can anyone recommend a light switch type/make with a neon indicator to remind me when the light is on.
Cheers

you could put a wee pigmy light on the ceiling below the loft so you will see if it is on or off, just loop it off the existing lights

I have a pull cord switch, and tied a big white curtain ring on the end, it hangs just above the hatch opening so it is the first thing you see when you climb up, and the last when you climb down. If I didn't have such high ceilings I would be able to reach it with the hook on the loft ladder pole.

I used to have the same problem with leaving the outdoor floodlights turned on (they're not visible from the front of the house where the lounge/ bedrooms are). In the end I bought a 240V panel mount neon from RS, cut a rectangular hole in a single gang blanking plate to take it, and connected it to the outdoor lighting circuit. I mounted it just below the ceiling so that it always caught my attention when it was on...
