logical step for Labour is to reverse Brexit

Ha ha ha

Motorbiking has turned into a Russian apologist like his hero Farage
Don't be a tw*t, you think the UK could defeat Russia? Do you think the EU has the minerals to organise a coalition to defeat Russia?

slowly beating Ukraine has cost the west far more than a rapid defeat
Not true.

1) Russia is not slowly beating Ukraine

2) allowing Russia to defeat Ukraine rapidly would be far more costly

You seem to have even less knowledge than Highway Man on military matters

I can see how we would be in real trouble if you had any say in things, thank god that you don't.

how much is that?

The point is that the cost of living is vastly different around the country, so the minimum / living wage should reflect that.
Why do you want people unable to live on an earned wage, wherever they live ?

Do t you think our economy is better if people can afford to buy things.

And poor wages just drive people into benefits

It's a downward spiral

The cost is 1/2 a billion a day between them.

You seem to have woken up with bad case of the NotchyFacts, maybe there is a pill in the medicine cabinet to help you shut up?

Its a simple question - how much?

I feel Notch is living in another world with his strange views on how wars go and how they are won. Wake up Notch.

Its not a fixed figure is it.
ahhh we got there.
But why don't you want people to be able to live on an earned wage?
something I've never said - what I have said is that people should be helped and motivated to develop more valuable skills so they are worth more money.
It's a VERY simple question
You want people to be able to live on an earned wage, but you don't know how much this is?

That sounds like a VERY difficult question.

ahhh we got there.
It was only you trying to suggest that it was. Talk about getting there. Penny dropped?
something I've never said - what I have said is that people should be helped and motivated to develop more valuable skills so they are worth more money.
But that only cures an individual, not a system
You want people to be able to live on an earned wage, but you don't know how much this is?
Exactly that. A family should be able to afford a house, good, clothes, some entertainment depending on income level. Shouldn't need benefits to get that. Or do you think that should be unattainable for so many?
That sounds like a VERY difficult question.
No. It's very simple. Why DONT you want people to be able to live on an earned wage.

The economy would do better if more could afford to buy more.

The point is that the cost of living is vastly different around the country, so the minimum / living wage should reflect that.

Why not work towards levelling the cost of living across the country as well?

Would take decades, but surely - in a relatively small island such as ours - this ought to be a goal.

Trouble is, everything is designed to be SE and London centric; transport links and lack of investment elsewhere being prime examples.

It continues to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

what I have said is that people should be helped and motivated to develop more valuable skills so they are worth more money.
So a person trapped in a dead end job because he needs to make rent, you would give them money to pay their rent and give them free education.

But lots of people could afford to live on their wages back in 2010 but can’t now.

However the wealthiest have seen their wealth massively increase in that period.

You keep avoiding the truth because you don’t want to admit growing wealth inequality is the problem

Perhaps minimum wage should be regional?

Based on a couple renting a 1-bed flat both working full time. Now that would encourage some levelling up

And encourage further depression of local economies. Cheaper residential property prices do not mean it costs less to make/distribute/sell goods, but lower wages will mean people buying less of them.
