thats not how being an employee works. The idea is you deliver more value to your employer than he pays you.

If you can't get a better paid job then society should help and motivate you to keep working at it.

Since 2010 the lower paid have had wages stagnate whilst the richest saw their income and wealth grew substantially.

The problem is that during the austerity years 2010 onwards wages for ordinary citizens, especially the lower paid stagnated, but the pay and wealth accumulation of the rich grew substantially.

The U.K. now has poor standard of living for ordinary citizens and has fallen behind comparable economies.

But surely the problem stems from the attitude of the workforce or at least the youth of today. Seems to me that nobody wants to do the low paid work anymore as someone on benefits who doesnt work can get more or less the same as someone in low paid work,

If the low paid became higher wage earners and the skilled workers became higher paid then our cost of living would soar. It would be unsustainable and unfortunately there has to be low paid work. Everything work wise has a monetry value or you would have plumbers earning what us sparks earn and we couldnt have that
