firstly I would check that you have followed the instructions step by step.
The udl passcode entered into the udl options, this is a code of your chosing to access the panel.
If your struggling with the smart com, start again by going through the manual in reverse order turning everything off you turned on...
disconnect the smart com and com ip leads.
depending on panel firmware and smart com firmware you may find it a little tricky but all that seems to be sorted now.
Today is a good day I started from scratch with everything and managed to get it all working, even wintex and the smart com!
Couple of outstanding issues:
1. The texecom app likes to crash a lot
2. When I arm the system it says "Area in Exit > A" and the panel sounds and does not go off. I can part set the system fine.
3. I can't work out how to set up the part setting in Wintext. If you check part 1 ommitable for instance, does that include it in part 1?
4. Has the app decided to name the part sets 'evening'
1.is that texecom connect or the older texecom keypad app??
2. area in exit will remina until you open and close the entry exit door at defult arming mode is set to e/e
3. part sets always great fun
in attributes omit makes the zone omittable
part 1 omit makes it omitted in part set one (Evening arm)
part 2 omit in part set 2 (bed time 1) and so on
if you want the aone to function in part set 1 then it shouldn't be selected.
4. At default the panel has three part sets, Evening, bed time 1 bed time 2
Part set is different to area setting in that you can set one or more areas, you set Area A on a system with Area A and Area B, then Area A is ful armed but the system is part armed (ie not all areas set).
It’s the texecom connect, I’ve come across another issue in that it keeps disconnecting from the WIFI. If I disconnect com1 when I plug in for Wintex and then when I’m done plug back in it connects fine and the WiFi icon goes solid. Then after a while it disconnects. I’ve attached a video. I'm on sky fibre and have the sky q router which is 2.4 and 5 ghz so could be something to do with that?
Adjusted all of the part sets so hopefully that’s sorted!
as long as theres good signal it shouldn't be an issue.
however you may find that on some routers they have some strange functions which inhibit wifi connections.
Okay short term.
Connect hard wired if possible and perform an update on the smart com
then look at the wireless connection again.
I have had a BT hub 6 cause similar issues with one of these smart functions (cant remember the exact name of it) on the router turned on, not familiar with the sky q but as its relatively modern I suspect it has a similar smart feature.
