RE: LOW VOLTAGE (12V) AC LIGHTING FROM IKEA.

The set comes with 2 lighting units, can I simply add another two in the circuit without blowing the transformer?

The bulbs are max 10V and are halagen.

which is what i guessed in the first place

but i shall expalin why.

your transformer is designed to operate 20 watts max, you already have 2 x 10 w lamps, 2 x 10 = 20

severeal choices.

buy another set and put mains supply in paralel.

throw transformer away and buy a new one

throw it all away and do it properly

I've got the very same transformer from Ikea but I can't remember what for...I have several sets of bulbs but I don't want to blow them up. Could you tell me how is/was your set that correspond(ed) to this transfo? How many bulbs? Color? etc?
Many many thanks
