Macerator recommendations for single toilet

Which macerators have people installed and would recommend? Saniflo are the obvious choices but I've seen Grundfos self cleaning ones more resonably priced.

Unaware of a self cleaning macerator, would you know which model or even better a link to it.
As an ex sani engineer I am biased towards them however leaving that to one side they do have a network of engineers who carry spares in a van so can complete most jobs in one visit. Others may make the same claim but really the network is made up of plumbers who do macerators as a side line, some understand them others simply want to sell them.

I’m happy with the Sanislim macerator in our downstairs loo. Basin is plumbed in to it too and you can even add a shower to it if you wanted. I boxed ours in and added some sound deadening so it’s a lot quieter than any other macerator I've ever heard.

I guessed it may be blurb. Will stick with Saniflo unless someone suggests a better one.

Even Saniflo haven't always got it right so don't buy one called Turboflush, Waterflush, Watereasy etc.

Before you buy, check to see if you can get spares for the model your looking at.

Like a non return valve - they seem to be a common failure.
Else when installing ensure you have the piping so you can install an external valve, also a drain point in the outlet pipe so it can be drained off iff the macerator gets glogged up because er indoors etc. used wet wipes a lot.

Ditto the turboflush, I have one and cannot get a replacement valve so fitted an external one.

Somewhat surprised to read you coudnt buy an nrv for a Turbo unless you were trying local plumbers merchants. Saniflo spares are generally available for a considerable time after production of a model comes to an end and that doesnt happen often.
Drain down points arent required if you know what you are doing and er indoors needs to learn the rules about wipes going down any toilet.
