Hi everyone,

I have my megaflo unvented water cylinder installed a year ago. Now i noticed when heating, water dripping through tundish. I have contacted engineers and the scheduled visit is 2 weeks later (Crying).

I am wondering is it safe still to use water cylinder while water dripping? will it explode?

Many thanks for your reply in advance.

There are instructions on the cylinder which tell you how to reinstate the expansion bubble at the top of the cylinder. Its easy to do and should solve your problem.

Your cylinder won't explode. The relief valve is doing its job, hence the dripping.

Sounds like loss of the air bubble, there should instructions on the side how to recharge it.
Edit: Typing at the same time as above.

I have read the instructions on the cylinder. It is a bit scaring to do it myself. I need to see how to do it first. I want to make sure it won't explode when heating and using THAT water dripping cylinder.

Thanks both :)

it wont do any harm at all, just follow the instructions it is really easy and you can not do any harm even if you get it wrong, worse case scenario you will still have the same problem, the process is a customer user procedure and very easy
