Any of the above out there?
I need to fit a new central locking door motor to a 53 plate ML270 4x4.
I know I need to remove the inner decor panel (done - without setting the air bag off  ) and remove the door handle outer - but thats got me beat.
Any tips, please, and thanks for reading.
    John :)

John - Coincidently, yesterday I ordered off ebay a somewhat dodgy copy of the Mercedes main dealer workshop manuals. Not for any particluar reason other than it only cost £5 and I thought it might come in useful if I am ever allowed to by a 500 E or 190 Cosworth. I think it has every Merc since 1982 in it.

If you can wait a day or so for it to arrive I should be able to find the info you want.

No worries John your more than welcome.

But I only put the link in to show what the handle looked like out of the door.

Great to save a bit of money at the same time!

    A result!

I couldn't agree more, mate....trouble is, to even unplug the connectors to the lock I have to remove it, and that includes drilling rivets out that hold the window runners.
I suppose I could check the wiring going into the door but this car has all the bells and whistles so the wiring harness is huge......not forgetting that air bag thats staring at me!
At least I've got a week to sort things, so no panic on that score.
With the lock out, I'll check for a 12v pulse when I press the plipper and take it from there. Cheers!
    John :)

    John,

If you still need it I have the Merc software now and have it up and running. PM me your email address and I can forward you the PDFs.

The software is about the worst I have seen but I have the procedures for removing the lock, air bag, window winder and outside handle, with some basic pictures

I can't see the email address in your profile. There is a box for contact Info but there is nothing in it.

    What am I doing wrong?
