I've just come back from a night on the town and found there was nobody out.
The town was like a ghost town for some reason. Does nobody go out these days at Xmas?

Merry Xmas to all. I'm just taking a break from cleaning the cooker up. I can't remember why I volunteered for this job, but I suddenly got it into my head that I'd make sure it's absolutely gleaming for later today. So far I've been on it for about 5 hours. It is starting to look good though.

Unfortunately I don't do things by halves, so it's all in bits (all the better to get into all those nooks and crannies), but if it's not all back together by sunrise, there'll be hell to pay. I really wish I hadn't started this job now.
