Thanks to your advice for the self cutting water pipe thing, we have taken it back and got a plastic white Y piece to put onto the existing water pipe and then run both the dishwasher and washing machin water from the Y pieces.

Still waiting for my dishwasher to arrive at the mo, looks like the week of Xmas, they deliver up until Xmas Eve, so that would be a nice Xmas pressie.

just don't use both m/c at same time (one y piece will only allow for water for one m/c at a time adequately)

Sorry to make you blush, hehe.

I doubt very much that both would be on at the same time, but I will remember what you have said and make sure they arent on together.

I will let you know how I get on when I finally get the machine and its running.
