MK 6 Escort battery swap

Hi have just bought a new battery and round post adapters but cant seem to fit the auxillery fuse box for front screen on + terminal. Have tried cutting down bracket still no luck,wondered if there was an special fitting on the market to overcome this many thanks.

The batteries are still available, ive never used post adapters so cant comment on the fitment. If the fusebox wont fit directly to the terminal then you will need to make either a small copper extension link or a wire link of suitable size to handle the current.

Regarding home made adaptors, Bosch published a book on Automotive Electrical systems and IIRC the max voltage drop in the cranking circuit should be <0.2vdc, so you can test that your adaptor doesn't add too much resistance to the circuit.
Your post clamp needs high force to reduce the contact impedance.
