mk3 mondeo handbrake

there is a lot of slack on stork before it bites.ive gotta haynes but there is no reference to this problem.i know some basic mechanics,but dont want to end up in deep watter.how do u go about this folks?

Some Mondeos were recalled for a problem with the handbrake, worth checking if yours has been or needs to be done.

thankyou spark 123.ill have to get it checked mate.also the accelerator pedal jams in cold weather sometimes when it first starts.i could drive maybe 200 yards then it wiill jam .when the ignition is turned of and on again its ok.is this an engine management problem possibly?
