Hi

I have just put a plasterboard up on ceiling with the gray side showing. (I guess this means gray side out? - please let me know if i have this terminology right)

I don't want to skim the plasterboard but simply paint it.

Have i put the plasterboard the correct way up and is it possible to simply paint without skimming

Thanks in advance would really appreciate answer today morning as i am going to put the remaining boards up in the evening and hope to finish the job at the weekend

What boards have you used? Square edge or tapered edge?

You're gonna need to tape and fill the joints first and then yes, you can paint the boards but it might be worth a post in the painting and decorating section to see what's the best way to go about painting the boards to achieve the best finish.

regards
