Hi,

We need a new boiler, we've had a price for a combi one, here's what it includes.

Worcester junior combi,
6 thermostat valves with drains,
wider gas pipe,
drain for boiler for acidy water,
All fitted £2,100.

Or a different make all the same £1,950.

What do you think.

Are they CORGI registered installers?

How are you paying; cash or cheque?

Whats the warrenty on the installation?

If all of the above applies; it sounds like a good deal!

Corgi registered he use to work for british gas.

Paying by cheque.

Don't know the warrenty on installation, but the boiler has 2 years.

My cousin had the same man fit her's last week.

Which one would you go for the worcester or the other cheaper one ?.

Thank you for the help.

Reasonable price and as he has done a relatives recently you will be able to check his standard of work and customer attitude . What make is the cheaper boiler he has offered

Thank you for repling.

He did a good job from my cousin their very happy. He didn't say what the other boil was but he uses them all the time he said unless you ask for a different one, my cousins husband said the other one he uses is a good one but he likes worcester.

Go for worcester or vaillant but make sure he cleans system THOROUGHLY & fills in benchmark fully then signs it

Which Junior is it the 24i or 28i.

What about a room thermostat.

It's a 28i, no room thermostat he said we didn't need one with having them on the radiators.

THank you.

Tell Him to read part L of the building regs????

Also ask him how TRV's when closed (ie a very hot day) tell the boiler not to fire

sheesh

in short YES u do need a room stat

Go for a vaillant and fit the weather compensator/programmer/room stat unit direct to the boiler, then put trv's on every rad. Complies with all Part L regs and boiler interlock regs etc.

If boiler going on North wall then all the better fot outside temp sensor, if not needs wire running to North side of property.

Very good choice of boiler (though if you had said 28SI, would have said exellent choice). Yes you should have a room stat and trv's.
Ask your installer to fit roomstat and programmer RF (wireless) very good piece of kit. Up rate gas supply and flush system.

Oh you would mate :D go wireless Dave its all the rage

I used to go wireless with the siemens range, but the Vaillant VRC400 is plugged into the front of the boiler, no room stat, no wires

I now us this where ever I can. I'm sure Worcester must do the equivalent as they are very nearly as good

no such boiler as a 28Si...................

Harrogate there was a 28si made between 2000 and 2002 which has been replaced by the 28si II which i would imagine is the boiler CLF means
