New Bath - what MM thick ?

Hi

I am having a new bathroom suite put in. My plumber has told me to get a minimum of 5mm thick and ideally 8mm thick bath.
Does this sound right ?

Also any decent offers on bath ? Any good shops.

yes if you want a decent quality bath.

ones from the sheds are only about 4mm
