As per my other thread my Ideal Isar M30100 is being replaced next week with a Worcester Greenstar 28cdi.

According to the internet the Isar is 90.1% efficient, the Worcester is 90.5% efficient.

Looking at the numbers this wouldn't appear to be a saving despite being 12 years newer. Will it save me any money on my bills?

Don't know how to take that comment. Serious or sarcastic?

    I had assumed sarcastic.

No idea how much of it is original because we only moved in in November but the plumber said it was on its original pcb.

Plenty of signs that someone had been on it though as there were quite a few missing screws.

Ah, the Isar, the Gas Repair guy's pension pot.

Easy tp repair, lots of them, regular breakdowns what's not to like?

As to the original question, will you save money?

I am very careful when punters ask this, as a) I do not control the Price of Gas b) the weather c) how much hot-water is used or how high/low the thermostat is set.

All 'A' rated boilers are pretty much the same in terms of gas usage 'in the field', lab-testing is not the same as real life.
