New driveway cost?

I'm looking at re-routing my driveway further into my garden to provide parking/turning and eventually a location for a new garage-workshop. I suppose the total length could be about 40m plus the turning area.

Please can anyone suggest a £/m2 cost for constructing a driveway that I could use to estimate what it may cost? I'd like it to be a hard surface eg compacted hardcore with concrete surface over and edged with kerb stones or similar. May also consider block paving or tarmacadam final finish later.

Get a few firms in to do free quotes.

Hi Block paving finish will be approx. £100-£120 pm, concrete finish would be half that

pic pretty much the same
ask to see examples of work though and ask what the spec is
