I am having a conservatory built which is going to use an old coal shed as part of the back of it,it will all be plastered with a new door to make the shed into a stororage cupboard, should i put the new door frame up befor it is plastered or after ,eg :mounting the frame on top of the plaster or on the bare wall.

The door frame is usually put in first so the plasterer has something to plaster up to. If you are using a high quality timber frame that you don't want to get covered in plaster ie varnishing instead of painting, you could put in a lining of something like mdf and then fix the frame into this after the plasterer has finished. This I believe is common practice in America but not seen often here.
