NEW Lighting Circuit

help please, or any links?
I am installing a lighting circuit which consists of two new flourescant lights with switches to my new workshop via a new consumer unit. I am unsure of how to complete this.

Do I just run cable fron each light to the switches then run powere from the consumer unit to the switch or directly to the lights?
Do I need a junction box ?

Is there a good easy to read diagram I can follow.
