New plasterboard wall question

Hi all,
I have build a new stud wall and plasterboarded it. Should I do anything specific (before plastering) where the new wall meets the existing wall at right angles to stop cracks appearing? I was wondering if I need to use a flexible filler before plastering or something?

You can tape the edge and when you skim feather it in.

Thanks. Just to clarify, do you mean attach the tape to both original wall and new wall, and then plaster over the bit of tape that's showing on the original wall? Sorry if i'm a little confused!

Yes that,s correct.

You will need to apply some PVA to the old wall, just a little to allow bonding of the finish.
