I have to fit a mixer shower to a Megaflow sealed hot water system. Can anyone advise if there is anything I need to look out for or anything diferent from utilising a "normal" system? Many thanks.

Not really. You can pick one suitable for "high pressure". Hope the cold supply you're going to use comes from the reduced pressure on the input side of the Megaflo so it's the same pressure as the hot??

You might like to ask the mixer andshower head manufacturers for their pressure/flow data. You'll need to know what your mains pressure is but the M will limit it to about 3 bar if it's higher. Then you can see the flow you're likely to get. Assume say 1 part cold to 2 parts hot for a shower. So if the plumbing would give you 24 litres/minute you'll use 16l/min of hot, so if you have a 170l tank you get 10 minutes. A bit more if the boiler's on and reheating.

Many thanks Chris. I've got pressure gauges but this will give me an excuse to buy a flow meter! Thanks again.

Best flow meter I've got is a calibrated bucket and mobile phone ;)
