Remember ... 'Police chiefs perplexed, number of speeding convictions rise, but no rise in number of 6 month bans? .... '
Then the realisation of 'a growing problem concerning drivers 'passing off' penalty points to relatives and friends in order to avoid an automatic six-month ban for accumulating twelve points within three years.'

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2194624,00.html

....The time-consuming process of comparing the camera image with the suspected offender will be streamlined from 2012, when police will be able to compare instantly on screen the camera image and the driving licence photograph of the registered keeper....
Ah, ha the real reason perhaps? ... When you have your ID card they will know all about you, even if it will be worth their while chasing you up to pay the fine !!
Another scam... While real villains are allowed out among us, pretty much wholesale ..
:D :D :D :D :D

PS. 2012 is going to be a real f/up year -- with everything which is supposed to take off then ! I bet it all turns to dust - again. :D

That is probably not a joke !! Masks will no doubt appear !

Venetian blinds ?
:D

I was under the impression that the car owner had to nominate who was driving at the time or accept the offence himself. Is that wrong?

joe

If the owner was driving it would be wrong to say it was someone else, that's purjury, but it is for the prosecution to prove beyond reasonable doubt the guilt, and no one has to incriminate themselves (except in Blair's world of fantasy where we're all guilty of everything unless you have a brown nose (and even brown is guilty)).

you get your NIP in the post

you then say you where the one driving

but you also send a letter in with the NIP saying

as you where not read your rights any evidence gained by your admittance to the NIP is now not admissable

? anyone done this

got to be worth a try ? if nothing else just to play the system up
