Hi all!

First time I've used this forum so hope you can help!
I've just moved into a 3 year old town house and want to change the location of plugsockets upstairs and ceiling roses downstairs.

In trying to get the first floorboard up (8x4 chip board) I've sawn through the tongue and groove all the way round and removed the only 2 nails holding it down. Drilled a finger hole in the middle to lift it - and it wont budge!!

Please someone tell me they are not glued onto the joists!!

Hope you can help,
Stuart.

Even if it's glued and you have cut all the way round then it should come up unless some losthead nail has been punched in deeper and you cannot see it.

Also this may be useful.
