New walls

I have some newly plastered walls which are very, very dry. It is a bathroom/shower area. I am going to tile these walls with largeish tiles so am using waterproof, high-grab adhesive.

I would like to know if I should prime/bond the walls before tiling. I am thinking PVA:water 1:5 mix or a bonding product specifically for this purpose. This is so the dry wall does not leach the water from the adhesive and cause a weak bond, right?

Thanks in advance!
