hi all, we need a hole cutting in the brickwork to pass a basin waste through.

its at the front right hand corner of the building, the wall inc cavity are 300mm thick.

whats the closest we can drill the hole to the front corner of the building, plumber reckons its 18inches, so 18 inches back from the leading edge of the property.

You can drill a (32mm or 40mm) hole as close to the corner as the cavity wall will allow.

Holes this size do not affect the structure unless it is directly beneath a lintel bearing.

Someone is confusing masonry with timber - i.e. joists rafters etc.
