I am looking to lay a new wooden floor (oak t&g boards on 3" x 2"timber joists) on top of a solid concrete floor.

I was planning to screw the new joists to the floor but was a little worried about going through any DPC membrane that is likely to be under the screed.

Is this a problem or should I look to fix in another way.

Advice welcome :?:

the way your are talking the difference in height is abot 100mm 75mm for the timber and 22mm for the solid oak the screed sould be atleast 100mm thick so if you want drill and plug the floor then screw the batons down I dont see a problem
