Nissan X Trail Oil Leak

Hello All

Am a new user and hoping someone can help. My friend has a Nissan X Trail 2.2diesel SVE and it is leaking oil out of the exit pipe of the intercooler. The turbos have been changed but the problem is still there. The garage are saying that the seal has gone in the intercooler. Is this fault feasible? And if so, is this a common problem?

Was the intercooler cleaned out when the turbo was changed?
May still be oil left in there from the old turbo

Can't say for sure on your one but I work as warranty administrator for a large Nissan dealership & we do quite a few X-Trail intercoolers under warranty for oil leaks. Quite a quick job too, labour time less than half hour.
