No cold water from shower

Hi everyone.

My DIY knowledge is pitiful but here goes.

I have a Gainsborough 8.5kw shower unit and recently I'm getting no cold water even on the lowest setting. I seem to get cold for mere seconds then it begins to warm up.

Two things I've noticed. It's not sounding too healthy and when I remove the shower head the shower seems to work properly and will run cold heating up as I turn the dial.

Is there a blockage? Low pressure/flow or is the unit about to need replacing?

Any advice would be great.

Is your showerhead scaled up? If the flow is reduced the water will get hotter. If it's scaled, soaking it in kettle descaler should sort it.
