Hello

Put new tap in downstairs cloakroom. Had no hot or cold water upstairs, did trick with washing machine and then had water. Few days later no hot water again, unblocked ball value on water tank which had grit in. Now have full tank and hot water upstairs, but no cold water, tried doing washing machine trick and not working.

Any ideas please.

Thank you

Mark

You con't do the washing machine hose trick on the CW unless you connect the CW main hose to the cw tap which isn't working, which is presumably upstairs!

First try connecting cw and hw upstairs and open both - sometimes t works. Next is a vac on the cw tap. Helps if it's one designed to handle water obviously. If you suck at the air in the tap with a normal one with a rag over the end, and you're quick, you might not wreck your vac and it might work..
