quick lowdown of my system:

open vented. indirect hot water cylinder in upstairs bathroom. 20 year old potterton boiler downstairs (in an outdoor cupboard). pump.

had the boiler serviced about a week or so ago because i was not getting hot water. boiler serviced and nothing to declare on that. new pump put in.

still no hot water, so had the system flushed. still no hot water and now there's a puddle under the boiler and the puddle moves, ie water is seemingly constantly flowing out from somewhere. no water is dripping from above the boiler from the pipes because only the floor is wet. also no water is coming out from the little drain tap - that is closed.

2 questions: why no hot water, and where is the puddle coming from? there was no puddle before the system was flushed and pump replaced.
