Noisy Pipes

Help! Everytime I flush upstairs loo the pipes make an awful noise, any ideas as to what I can do
 
Could be pipes need clipping properly, ball valve in cistern needs attention / renewal or lower your pressure by closing the stoptap little by little :)
 
One other thing I should have mentioned is that when you turn on the cold water tap and let it run for a while which is next to the toilet the toilet it gets rid of the noise
 
It sounds very much like your supply upstairs is fed from the cistern in the loft. Renew the ball valve and float (high pressure part 2 should only cost £3) and this should cure :)
 
Thanks for the prompt reply but we do not have a cistern, the hot water comes through the mains directly through the boiler which is downstairs
