noisy toilet cistern

during refilling of toilet cistern after flushing there is an extraordinary amount of banging. could it be caused by an airlock, if so any ideas on removing such? Thanks in anticipation

has it always happened? if it has it could be the pipe touching something, if not it could be your float valve its called water hammer.
