Hello woodyoulike

Some tme ago ( december 2005 ) I installed a solid oak plank floor in my house largely based on advice given by you. One or two of the planks in the dining room have started to 'bow' / taking on a concave shape if viewed from the end. Can you tell me if this is normal, or should I get worried?

Cheers

The humidity now is much higher than it was in winter, so that wood could have been absorbing more moist = expansion. It's normal behaviour of solid wood.
Try to see if one or two expansion gaps are completely 'filled', then you have to cut of a bit of the board filling the gap and everything will settle back.
