I have Old CU which has the old fuses x5.
I do not have a Supplier Isolation switch after the Meter, how would replace the old CU with the new?
What type would I need?
How much would a new CU cost?

Any help will be appreciated, Thanks. ;)

Get DNO to remove service fuse or hope the seal and fuse drop off just prior to the cu change.

What type you need depends on what supply type you have;

TT system 100A 100mA s type rcd main switch + 30mA rcd for circuits supplying sockets/ showers etc.

TNc-s & TNs use a split load type board, 100A main switch + 30mA rcd for circuits supplying sockets & showers. Or 100A main switch + rcbo's for circuits supplying sockets / showers.

Supply / install and full testing of new cu cost depends on your location, what make of board your sparx uses + is main equipotential bonding in place ?, any problems with existing circuits ?

This work is notfiable to your LABC under Part P of the building regulations so would need to be done by a registered electrician who can self certify.
If you were to do it yourself then the LABC need notifying in advance and you would be charged a fee.Proper test equipment is required to carry out tests on the installation before and after completion and a test certificate issued on completion
