I have just insulated under the floorboards in the hall and sitting-room and the original 200 year old boards are 'Victorian dark' around the areas that were not covered with rugs.
This near to the holidays I', looking for a quick drying dark paint or stain to even it all up and make it look half decent.
Can anyone recommend anything? (I don't want a floor paint that will cover the grain detail as the standard floor paints for any floor coverings)
Thanks

Some of the Ronseal water based wood stains might be ok for that kind of application. Dries quick and will stain the wood enough to look like it been freshened up.
