I have one hot radiator in the front room - where we have a back boiler (Baxi Bermuda) and a grille to the open air.
I presume this radiator is the closest one to the boiler and pump (also in the same room).
For several weeks, the radiator has been permanently hot when the heating is on.
I checked the pin still moves up and down, and also replaced the TRV. I also closed off the lockshield valve a bit (half turn) to reduce flow through this radiator.
This seemed to work for a couple of days when trv was set to 1. Having put it up to 3 recently, the radiator won't cool down unless the heating is off.
The room is boiling to humans - but could the radiator still think it's cold because its closer to the grille? (Does the radiator even have a mind of its own
it feels like it!)
I've read every post about hot radiators and I think I've done most things suggested. Any other ideas?
Rebalancing all radiators?
Do I need to reopen the lockshield valve to fully open so the hot water can run away?
The boiler's is set to 3 on scale Low-1-2-3-4-High should I turn this down?
Any help would be really appreciated, and let me know what order I should do things. I may be causing more problems in my attempt to fix this.
