I am about to have my walls skimmed and need to know how I take these two bits off the wall. I assume the square box just lifts off screws, but does anyone know how to remove the round bit just so the plasterer can get behind it?

It’s covering a supply cable thru wall . Check outside , usually they leave a bit of slack but will have been siliconed on exterior .

I know what it’s for and where it goes, just don’t know whether or not I can pull it away from the wall.

Maybe I just tell the plasterer to stay away from it.

When you take the ONT (Square box) off the wall don't let it hang (load) on the fibre. That should also unplug. Once unplugged cover the end in a plastic bag. DON'T LOOK INTO THE END !!! - The light is Infra Red and not visible but can/will damage your eyes.
The round cap should just pull out (unless it's been siliconed into the wall.
