I want to get electrics down to the bottom of the garden.
I've just bought an MK outside Junction box - this to receive power from inside and give power via a 'tough sheath' cable outside.
In the instructions that came with the box it says "In Junction boxes, four terminal blocks are provided (L,N,E and Loop as required). Ensure only wires of the same polarity are connected in each block. Earth and Loop terminals in the mounting box should not be used".
What does this last sentence mean ? Because there are no 'terminals in the mounting box' and I'm confused.

Regards

Some boxes have terminals fitted in the box itself. this may be marked earth or loop.
I have worries about this.

How will you be running the cable to the bottom of the garden?
When you say 'tough sheath' what do you mean?
What is the load you are planning to put on the end of the cable?
How big is the cable (CSA) and the length of the run?
Is the circuit protected by an RCD??
Will you be informing the local authority that you are undertaking notifiable work or will you be using a registered spark?
