Trying to fit an outside Porch light. Cabling already in place - just need to connect my light!

Feed from inside the house has 2 cables linked into a 4 block Plastic connector as follows:

Cable 1: copper wire (E1) , Red (R) , Black (B)

Cable 2: copper wire (E2), Red (R1), Red (R2) (I have not encountered this type of cable before, R1 and R2 look exactly the same to me).

Block 1: E1 and E2
Block 2: B
Block 3: R and R1
Block 4: R2

Appliance Flex: Blue (Blue) , Brown (Br) and Yellow/Green (E3)

OK so I connect E3 to Block 1, Blue to Block 2 but :

1. How do I connect Br, to Block 3 or Block 4?
2. Do the 2 Red Wires play different roles and if so how do I tell them apart?

Would really appreciate any help with this.

Thanks

Dave Q

Block 1: E1 and E2
This is the earth block. green yellow earth from lamp to this one.

Block 2: B
This is the neutral. the black wire is neutral supply from CU
blue from lamp to this one

Block 3: R and R1
This is the loop or permanent live block R is the live feed from CU
R1 takes live to the switch

Block 4: R2
This is the switched live block
R2 brings the switched live backfrom the switch
brown from lamp to this one.

I would suggest you connect Brown to block 4 - most likely the switched live. Block 3 contains the loop in / loop out live.
