Pictures are good,

Depending on how much building out is needed, a Silver sand/lime/OPC/SBR mix is good.

A 3:1:1:2 mix is good onto clean, primed (with SBR/OPC 1:1 ) surface but depends on depth and finish required.

Edit - for mouldings, ledges etc
