on my gravity fed system the header tank keeps over flowing when boiler is running, the water in the expansion tank is hot, but not coming down the expansion pipe, seems to be back filling up the supply pipe to the system. All radiators heat up ok and HW is ok, tried removing some water from the tank, but problem returned any ideas?

95 percent probability that you have a hole in the heating coil of your HW cylinder. If the F&E tank is LOWER than the water level in the COLD WATER STORAGE tank, the probability rises to 95 percent. Not fixable - you need a new cylinder.
