I need to support a series of steel frames to the ceiling of a multi-storey car park and have been told that the reinforced concrete that the slabs are cast from are quite a lot harder than usual, and that most existing fixings have needed diamond core drills.
As all the work will be overhead (upwards) and there will need to be 32 fixings - I thought I would ask if anyone has a good idea on how to make this as quick and painless as possible.
got any suggestions, tools or adhesives that would do this?
the fixings need to support about 30kg, and I am currently planning to use m8 expanding bolts.
my only previous experience of using diamond core cutters is on granite, where the cutter needs to be cooled with water - not really feasible upwards. is it possible to use them on concrete uncooled?
