i have just have had my ceiling and walls plastered, the ceiling with two coats as it had a light artex.the walls where skimmed just for a smooth finish.both where done a couple of days ago,the walls are drying quick, the ceiling is nearly there.

however i have booked a new floor to be fitted in 8 days, and i would rather have the painting finished by then.

any ideas on the best way to paint over the fresh plaster.

Single coat of unibond followed by a whitewash with matt is what I'd do prior to applying the paint proper. :)

Is it safe to use unibond PVA on a new wall? someone suggested on this site that this May cause condensation.

I don't know if that’s correct - has anybody experienced this?

Others say to use Mist coat, basically Emulsion paint mixed with water but this doesn’t work 100% you'd still get bubble on the wall.

Thanks,
Miah

Or is it best and safe to use Dulux plaster sealer?

I would use acrylic sealer and two top coats, should dry very quick between coats,I like to use dulux as I think their paints are worth the extra money, they do last longer and wear much better.
