Hello

I have just re-plastered the bottom half of my kitchen walls after hacking off the plaster while removing ceramic tiles (ooops!) . Can anyone tell me:

a) How long I should leave the fresh plaster before I can paint it
b) Should I treat the new plaster with anything (e.g. PVA) before painting?

Until it feel totally dry, longer the better,

If you're having paint finish then I wouldn't seal it with pva sealer as it will end up being rough, usually a undercoat is better.

You are ok to paint as soon as plaster is dry. I would suggest that you water the paint down slightly so it soaks into the new plaster. If not you may find that the paint flakes off in time.
