Painting round upvc windows ?

Going to sort round the windows in our house its a 1880s Mid terrace
with upvc windows.

Do i strip the old silicone off and the paint then reapply the silicone

Or

do i strip the old silicone off use caulking then paint the job lot ?

your help would be much appreciated ?

Emulsion dont normally stick to silicone sealent, when you paint, you will see what appears to be tiny air bubbles appearing.

To get round this you can undercoat on the actual sealant, using oilbase, then when dry, paint with your usual emulsion.
