I used to work for a well known washing m/c company it sounds like its the************* I am not saying what but the point is it is not a job for a diy person, and please it is probably not the timer so dont touch that.
(the reason i say that is i once had a bloke who called us out and he had taken the timer out saying it had to be that because it stops, it was something else, but i told him "ok, you put it back and i will fix it" never heard from him again.
Point is there is a lot inside a w/m and it has certin "functions" that interact with each other, so unless you know what you are doing DONT!
