(picture attached) Does this roof need to be replaced?

This is the view of the roof above my bay window. What material is this and does it need replacing?

(There is no evidence of leaks, but i would like to improve the roof before it does)

It's a bitumen felted roof that had some bitumen product over the years on the hairline cracks maybe, would be an idea to put a small pitch roof tiles over it then forget about it.

I'd get it replaced with epdm then forget about it for around about 30-40 years!

i'd replace it with staffy blue clay tiles and forget about it for 350 years.

there are afew manufactureres of glassfibre strand coating that is like thick solvent based porrage, (Grey in colour). We put some on our roof in 1991 and its still water tight and looks to last a lot longer yet. Its about £65 for 15 ltrs but worth it.
