Hi Change of plan in house renovation! Now need to install a gas hob but most of the pipework has already been boxed in. Have a 22mm gas pipe feeding the boiler and have access to T into this about 2 metres away from the position of the hob. Should this be 22mm pipe down to the hob or can i use 15 mm over the 2 metres ? Cheers in advance Pete.
ps , it will be certified when its all complete, you try finding a registered plumber who.s prepared to do these small but neccesary jobs! :(

You could probably use 10mm to the hob, but 15mm is ample. However the length of 22mm shared by boiler and hob may not be adequate. A competent gas fitter will know how to calculate that.

its not an expensive job, you may as well get a corgi fitter to do it for you , all new gas installations have to be registerd now (including gas hobs )
I would be supprised if you found a fitter to put his name to the installation if he hadn`t carried out the work.
