A PIR sensor that has to be triggered 3 times before generating an alarm output, is situated in a presently unoccupied property. My question relates to time. If the alarm is set for a three week period without ever being turned off, and the sensor is triggered once a week over a three week period, would that generate an alarm? Or is there a time limit and reset period?

Unfortunately, there is no name on the PIR for me to provide any further details, so I'm sort of hoping that they all follow a common operating philosophy.

Lol ! Probably on pulse count 3 , 3 pulses or pick ups in a set small time window to activate the pir , nothing to do with alarm panel !
