About 6 years ago we built a conservatory on the rear of our house, the side joins on to the garage, we divided the garage, added another skin of bricks inrernally to form a cavity and installed a wc and laundry room. No approach was made to the local council during this work. Now we have decided that we want to move on and sell the property.
What happens next?????

Ring your local council Building Control and ask - you don't have to give your name ("I have a friend who...")
I'm sure there is a limit after which they will not bother about retrospective planning permission (which I think is 5 years,in which case you are ok - but I'm not certain,so best to check with BCO)
